I cannot remember things I once read
A few friends, but they are in cities.
Drinking cold snow-water from a tin cup
Looking down for miles
Through high still air.

Tim, do you have a flickr page? I'm sure I've seen your shots somewhere on Flickr before. If not then some shot very much like yours. I have a question: Do you know of any good outdoor bouldering spots in Hokkaido? I'm heading up from Aomori this summer and I'd love to hang from some Northern rocks while I'm there.

Actually, many of these photos were taken by friends, an exception being the ones from Cambodia. I don't have a flickr account myself. To see more great pics check out Ryan Libre's website, www.idioimagers.org.

As for bouldering, I did some rock hanging on the sea cliffs near Hamamasu a couple weeks back, but the rock was pretty brittle...you might try the area around Sounkyo Gorge in Northern Daisetuzan. I'll ask some friends who are more into technical climbing and get back to you.

Gary's the man. He's the one who first pointed me down the trail, and 15 years later, I'm still walking it, into an unknown which never ceases to bring on a grin.
